LORAIN® -380VDC Converter System

The LORAIN® 380VDC Converter System is designed to provide +/-190VDC of modular, backup power for your broadband FTTx network. The LORAIN 380VDC Converter System utilizes state of the art technology that will provide the user maximum power density and system reliability.

The system is a compact 4 RU design, consisting of 21 individual converter modules, an alarm module and an optional fan tray for use in higher operating ambient applications.  Each converter module contains a single 100 VA DC to DC converter, with an integrated ground fault interrupter circuit designed on each unit. The system is designed and tested for compliance with all safety requirements including Telecordia, UL, CSA and CE.

The unique “single” output design will minimize field replacement and maintenance issues inherent with multi-output converters. The 380VDC Converter shelf can be deployed in either a central office or outside plant environment.
