Ancillary Equipment Enclosure
Developed as a result of carrier electronics becoming more dense, the compact Ancillary Equipment Enclosure is equipped with a patented Emerson DC air conditioner and available in various sizes determined by the amount of rack space required for the particular application. This flexible and robust cabinet can be deployed in E911 electronics, microwave backhaul gear, or small power systems with battery plants.
  • Two enclosure sizes available, 12 or 20 rack units
  • Pad, pole or cabinet-mounting configurations
  • 200 or 400 Watts of DC air conditioning available
  • Cable entrance on left or right side of enclosure
  • Lightweight design for ease of transportation and installation
  • Available as a front-access only enclosure with swing-out rack option.

Extended Ancillary Equipment Enclosure
The extended cabinet can house a variety of communications electronics, DC power, batteries, and other system components in any outdoor environment. This seismic, welded aluminum and steel enclosure protects sensitive equipment from heat or cold, dirt, dust, water, or other contaminants and is equipped with Emerson’s passive hydrogen front battery venting system to eliminate hydrogen gas buildup. Options are available that increase either the DC power or battery capacities.

  • GR-487-CORE sealed to prevent intrusion of corrosive contaminants
  • Combines DC power, battery and up to 35 RU of equipment mounting space in one compact, factory-wired cabinet
  • Knockouts on either side allow easy installation of cabinet configurations
  • Maximizes equipment mounting area while minimizing real estate requirements
  • Optional (25) rack space, 19" swing frame available for “front access” only
  • Compact, pad or grate-mounted cabinet
