Mounting Bars
Connector Types:
R303, R305, R355, R399, R700, and R710
Connector mounting bars are required on distribution frames to support central office connectors. These are zinc-plated and dichromate-dipped to assure low resistance connections.
Mounting Arrangements
Mounting specific connectors require different arrangements of holes drilled and tapped onto mounting bars. The frame-mounting side has two different mounting arrangements: universal and 8-inch centers. The universal version is slotted to fit various distribution frames. The 8-inch center version has holes to mount only on distribution frames with 8-inch vertical mounting hole centers.
Connector Grounding
Straps
Several sizes of grounding straps distribute frame grounds of central office connectors. These straps are also used to provide continual ground between the connector-mounting bar and the frame-ground bar assembly. One strap is required for each MDF vertical that supports protection equipment.
Universal Frame Guardrail Extension Kits
Guard Rail Extension Kits can be used when mounting R305, R355, and R399 connectors. One kit is required for each guardrail-mounting bar and each guardrail end guard. Extension kits are installed on the vertical side of the frame.
