The 430Y Ready Access closure is used for lashed and Figure 8 cables and larger-size cables in the 2- to 3-inch diameter range. It can enclose up to 900-pair cable splices and can accommodate either four 3-pair 38 series protected terminal blocks or four 145-type terminal blocks to meet most terminal requirements.
The 430Y closure provides weather protection for PIC aerial cable splices. The closure incorporates a shield continuity bonding system and includes numbered drop-wire ports. The inner sheath clamp and exterior bracket combine to prevent sheath pull-out and provide sound electrical shield continuity.
