Straight (20 series) and branch-type (21 series) aluminum splice closures protect the sheath opening on plastic-sheathed paper or plastic-insulated cables. The 20 and 21 series aluminum closures can be used in aerial, dry vault, and pedestal (not direct buried) applications. Straight-through versions enclose the junction of two cables, and the branch-type versions enclose the junction of two or more cables. They can be pole- or wall-mounted using the R51B hanger bracket, which must be ordered separately.
