Emerson Network Power Introduces High-Density DC Power Solution
For Power Requirements in Central or Switching Offices and Data Centers
NetSure™ 801DC Power System Featured at Communications Conference
DALLAS, Texas [April 23, 2008] - Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™,
today introduced the NetSure 801, a next-generation high-density power system designed to provide DC power to data centers and telecommunications central
and switching offices.
The NetSure 801 was the featured product during the first day of the Emerson Communications Conference in Dallas, Texas. It provides a
totally integrated, extremely dense power solution for wireline central offices, wireless mobile telephone switching offices and for data
centers choosing DC power-based architectures.
"The NetSure 801 modular platform represents a new generation of DC power systems," said Manish Bhandari, Vice-President, Global Sales and Marketing,
Emerson Network Power's Energy Systems business. "It provides a high-density DC
power system that delivers optimum reliability and flexibility in a
cost-effective, space-saving, and energy efficient package."
The new NetSure 801 power architecture is based on a high-density, three-phase, 380 or 480 volt AC input rectifier. The high power density and modular
approach reduce the power system floor footprint, providing more space for revenue-generating IT equipment. Meanwhile, the DC power architecture eliminates
the need to balance loads and de-rate equipment, boosting the overall efficiency of the system and thus reducing energy consumption and triggering energy savings.
The Emerson Communications Conference, being held April 23-24 at the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West in Dallas, is showcasing the latest technologies and
solutions for the telecommunications and IT industries and bringing together industry leaders to discuss issues facing telecommunications providers as they
move ahead with widespread broadband deployment.
