These blocks are used with Ready Access closures, buried wire, and cable pedestals. Brass terminals are molded into a phenolic block and the bottom of the block is grooved to fit the mounting brackets of buried plant pedestals. The interlocking design conserves space when two or more terminals are installed end to end. Protected wire terminal blocks have washer-type protection with the mounting stud serving as the ground electrode. The washers are spaced to provide a nominal arc-over DC voltage of 4,000 volts line to line and 5,000 volts line to ground.
