ATCA Packet & Media Processing Blades

Emerson packet processing blades are optimized for data plane or signal plane processing in telecommunications or data communications applications. Our family of blades based on either Cavium OCTEON, TI DSPs, Octasic DSPs or Intel Xeon processors are designed for IP packet processing in applications like packet gateways, 4G wireless gateways, deep packet inspection applications, and network security.

Emerson packet processing blades support a wide variety of performance and bandwidth options. On-board Ethernet switches support flexible data paths. Integrated into Emerson’s 10GbE and 40GbE board and system core products, the Emerson packet processor products offer application-ready platforms for signalling and call control, network gateway and edge functions, deep packet inspection and security processing.

ATCA-7470 AdvancedTCA Packet Processing Blade
The Emerson Network Power ATCA-7470 is a 40G AdvancedTCA® (ATCA®) packet processing blade that enables the highest packet processing performance and security features in an ATCA form factor. It allows you to consolidate packet, application and control processing functions in a single blade architecture and benefit from lower development costs and the use of common tool suites. This can get you to market faster and enable you to balance workloads efficiently across the available hardware resources.
ATCA-8320 AdvancedTCA DSP Blade
The Emerson Network Power ATCA-8320 is a DSP-based media processing blade for use in AdvancedTCA systems. It offers a very high density of IP voice and video transcoding, including H.264 at up to 1080p, for use in communications applications.
