AdvancedTCA Platform Cores

The Centellis™ series of AdvancedTCA® (ATCA) platforms are specifically designed to address the unique carrier-grade requirements of the telecommunications industry. Application examples include wireless infrastructure, packetized voice, cable head-end equipment, and central office and data center environments.

All products in the Centellis Platform Core lineup include integrated chassis, cooling, fabric switching, shelf management and power entry management, in a tightly integrated, tested, and field proven system. Products in this portfolio include the state-of-the-art Centellis 4440, Centellis 4410, Centellis 4620 and Centellis 2000 series.

A common feature of all four of these product lines is best-in-class cooling, exceeding the CP-TA B.4 thermal specification defined by the Communications Platforms Trade Association (www.cp-ta.org). This specifications defines the system airflow in a standardized manner for both normal conditions, and abnormal conditions, including fan failure, fan tray removal, and elevated ambient temperature (up to 55°C). These systems also provide sufficient input power for 350W per slot, providing plenty of room for growth to support the high performance blades of both today and the future.

The Centellis 2000 is a two-slot package, with a novel front-to-rear airflow cooling architecture demanded by rack mount telecom applications. Airflow, shelf management and input power are common with the larger systems, allowing customers to deploy scaled down variants of their applications. Like the Centellis 4440, the backplane fabric is KR-ready, providing up to 40Gb/s of bandwdith between a pair of ATCA blades. Shelf management and base network switching are provided by a pair of field replaceable units. The Centellis 2000 also offers the option of AC power, which is required by most applications deployed outside of the telecommunications central office.

The Emerson Network Power AXP1411 AdvancedTCA® shelf is specifically designed to address carrier-grade requirements desired by the telecommunications industry as well as high availability enterprise environments.
The Emerson Network Power AXP640 AdvancedTCA® shelf is specifically designed to address carrier-grade requirements desired by the telecommunications industry as well as high availability enterprise environments.
The ATCA-F125 from Emerson Network Power is a high density, cost-effective 10G switch blade for AdvancedTCA® platforms. Combining several ATCA® functions within a single blade design allows end users to maximize billable slots with revenue-generating application blades. This is accomplished with a combination of factory build options as well as several field options. Optional functions include telecom clock generation and distribution, SATA based hard drive devices (HDDs) and an AdvancedMC™ (AMC) site for general processing and/or packet processing functions.
The ATCA-F140 from Emerson Network Power is a high performance, high bandwidth 40G switch blade for AdvancedTCA® platforms. This product is perfect for the most bandwidth intensive telecom applications such as LTE and 4G network build-out in general. Along with the maximum ATCA fabric bandwidth available, the ATCA-F140 includes several features to maximize ATCA platform cost effectiveness.
The Centellis™ 2000 compact AdvancedTCA® platform is capable of accepting either DC or AC power to support both central office and data center requirements. Power modules can be installed singularly or with redundancy for cost-effectivity or high system reliability.
The Emerson Network Power Centellis™ 4440 AdvancedTCA® (ATCA) platform core is specifically designed to address the unique carrier-grade requirements of the telecommunications industry. Application examples include wireless infrastructure, packetized voice, wireline data, and cable network head-end network element. Highly integrated and verified hardware and software components, reduced development costs and accelerating time-to-market allow network equipment providers (NEPS) to focus their development resources on critical, differentiating features that provide a competitive advantage.
The Centellis™ 4620 platform is the first in a series of AdvancedTCA® (ATCA) based 10GbE communications servers from Emerson Network Power. These platforms provide highly integrated and verified hardware and software components, reduce development costs and accelerate time-to-market. This allows network equipment providers (NEPS) to focus their development resources on critical, differentiating features that provide a competitive advantage.
The Emerson Network Power Centellis™ 4410 AdvancedTCA® (ATCA) platform core is specifically designed to address the unique carrier-grade requirements of the telecommunications industry. Application examples include wireless infrastructure, packetized voice, wireline data, and cable network head-end equipment.
