Copyright Release
Emerson Embedded Computing usually permits companies to reproduce, modify, translate and distribute any or all portions of documentation owned by Emerson. To request copyright release (sometimes referred to as "permission to reprint"), the Emerson sales representative will need to supply the Technical Publications Department with the following information:
- Company name and address
- Name of the contact at the company who is to receive the release letter
- List of document title(s) and part number(s)
- Explanation of what the company intends to do with the document(s) such as, but not limited to, internal training, ship with product.
Certain restrictions apply to requests for copyright release from contractors doing business with the United States government or foreign government agencies, but, in most cases, copyright release can still be provided.
Electronic Source Files
The Technical Publications Department can supply source files for many of its documents. At this time, source is provided in FrameMaker format or, the more portable, Maker Interchange Format (MIF).
Requests for source must come from an Emerson sales representative. In addition to requesting source, the sales representative must also supply the Technical Publications Department with the details required in a request for copyright release.
