Emerson Network Power Opens Advanced Engineering Center in Lorain

Bringing multiple jobs to area as part of two-year growth plan to add more than 30 new jobs

LORAIN, Ohio [November 27, 2012] – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and a global leader in maximizing reliability, deployment speed and operational efficiency for communications networks, today announced the opening of its  Advanced Engineering Center in Lorain, Ohio. The Center, located in recently renovated space within Emerson’s Lorain operations, will add 12 engineering jobs this year and several more over the next several quarters. These jobs are among the Lorain operation’s 30-plus planned new hires by 2014.

The Advanced Engineering Center will be responsible for accelerating next-generation power and controller technology for all forms of communications networks. Emerson Network Power selected Lorain over several potential sites around the world.

All of the 30-plus new jobs to be created over the next two years in Lorain are expected to be highly-skilled engineering, marketing and service positions.
