Florham Park, N.J., [March 7, 2010]—Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, reports that Don Bachman has been appointed executive director of mission critical data centers for the ASCO Power Technologies business of Emerson Network Power.
This new position represents the ASCO business’s growing commitment to meeting the power reliability requirements of the global data center market. Bachman’s responsibilities span business development, sales, building strategic partnerships and counseling the business on the changing data center market. His experience includes data center projects for Microsoft, HP, ADP, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Visa, IBM and the Social Security Administration.
He also will help internal ASCO business functions, such as marketing, applications, product development and management, engineering, and service, develop comprehensive product and service solutions for this market’s special requirements. That includes management and monitoring systems, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) bypass switchboard design and manufacturing for Emerson Network Power’s Liebert business.

Bachman is a 23-year veteran of the ASCO business, having progressed through the ranks of the company’s sales operation. He holds both a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an executive master’s degree in business administration from Rutgers University. He is involved in the 7x24 Exchange, Data Center Dynamics, the Metropolitan Electrical League and the IEEE.
