Liebert XD refrigerant-based cooling modules work as a integrated thermal management system to support the hot aisle/cold aisle approach to cooling high heat density data centers. The modules provide focused data center rack cooling, enhancing a room precision cooling unit, such as a Liebert DS system. Pumped refrigerant is ideal for use around electronic equipment, operating at low pressure in the piping circuit, and becoming a gas at room conditions. Liebert XD data center cooling modules are available in configurations to match individual application requirements:
Liebert XDP and Liebert XDC are system matched pumping units, designed to support Liebert XD System spot/zone data center cooling modules. The indoor pumping units circulate the refrigerant to the cooling modules at a temperature always above the actual dewpoint to prevent condensation
This prefabricated distribution piping is installed in anticipation of a growing data center heat removal system. Liebert XD Cooling Modules are added, disconnected, or repositioned as required and are quickly made operational with flexible connection piping and quick-connect fittings.
