Reliability and Energy Efficiency in the Critical Infrastructure: Emerson Network Power's Experience at the Sapienza University in Rome 

A conference organised by Emerson Network Power, AEIT and the Sapienza University of Rome - February 1,  addresses the issue of reliability and energy efficiency of the basic infrastructure for business continuity.

Castel Guelfo (BO), 19 January 2012 – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and a global leader in maximizing availability, capacity and efficiency of critical infrastructure will organize a national event in Rome dedicated to business continuity.

The conference is addressed to IT managers, architects, consulting engineers, energy managers, facility managers, and has the objective to analyze the practical issues related to the critical infrastructures which guarantee operational continuity 

The conference, organized in partnership with AEIT Federation and La Sapienza University of Rome will take place in the Cloister room of the Faculty of Engineering starting from 3.00 pm and will be introduced by Prof. Eng. Fabrizio Vestroni, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering – La Sapienza University of Rome - and Eng. Roberto Sabella, AEIT Lazio Chairman.

Among the speakers will be Giuseppe Parise, a well-known engineering professor at Sapienza University who will talk about engineering, management and maintenance of the electrical systems, Stefano Capelli of the Almaviva Group, who will discuss the efficiency and reliability of complex ICT infrastructure.

Alessandro Nalbone and Claudio Rossetto, experts on cooling and AC power from Emerson Network Power in Italy will respectively present an overview on UPS technologies and cooling solutions.

The event will be chaired by the journalist Maurizio Melis of the Radio 24 (“Il Sole 24 Ore” Group) and sponsored by the Lazio Region, Province and Town of Rome, CEI, Assintel, Collegio dei Periti Industriali (Association of Technicians), Ordine degli Ingegneri (Association of Engineers), IEEE IAS, UNAE Lazio.

The participation is free after registration and entitles the members of the Collegio to receive three official points for the required technical upgrading (G.U. n. 17 del 21/01/2006).
