Emerson Network Power Strengthens Australia and New Zealand Leadership Team to Gear Up for Continued Growth

Sydney, Australia [November 2, 2015] – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and the world’s leading provider of critical infrastructure for information and communications technology systems, today announced the promotion of Robert Linsdell to managing director of its Australia-New Zealand (A/NZ) market.

In this expanded role, Robert will oversee the development, coordination and execution of key programs for the A/NZ market. He will lead the team as it continues its aggressive push in the region, targeting more customers and bringing Emerson’s industry-leading solutions to the enterprise, industrial and mid-market areas.

“Robert has been driving the A/NZ sales team for over a year as national sales director and his vision and programs have solidified Emerson’s position as the industry leader in providing holistic solutions for critical infrastructure. In this new position, I am confident that Robert will continue what he has started and lead Emerson’s development efforts as we continue to bring our technologies and solutions to address our customers’ unique demands,” said Anand Sanghi, president, Emerson Network Power in Asia.

Robert is a seasoned and multi-skilled business executive with a strong background pre-dominantly in the industrial, telecommunications and IT business segments. He joined Emerson Network Power Australia in March 2011 as state sales manager for New South Wales. In 2014, Robert was appointed director of national sales where he was directly responsible for all sales verticals and regional sales.

Prior to relocating to Australia, Robert was general manager, Europe, for Rohm and Haas (Shipley Electronic Materials) based out of France. Previously he had a long-tenured and successful career with Morton International (later became part of Rohm and Haas) where he last served as vice president for Europe.

Robert says of the appointment: “I am very optimistic about future growth opportunities in our channel business. In particular, I am very excited about our new partner acquisition program that now gives us a solid footprint across Australia and New Zealand, which ultimately enables us to reach out to a broader partner and reseller community.”

“Additionally, the enterprise business continues to be a very important part of our business. Internet of Things(IoT) is changing the way our customers operate, which means they need IT infrastructure that is agile, scalable, but more importantly solutions that provide them a competitive advantage,” he adds.

Robert obtained a Diploma in Industrial Management from Brighton University. He also holds a Strategic Marketing qualification from Wharton University in the U.S. and has completed programs in Finance for Executives from Insead in France.
