ASHE PDC Conference

 
The PDC Summit is composed of senior leaders from hospitals, architecture firms, and construction companies who are interested in working together to advance the health care physical environment. The 2012 PDC Summit provides exceptional networking opportunities and peer-reviewed programming that focuses on strategic perspectives for the health care built environment, as well as current trends and practices.






2012 PDC Summit highlights include:

  • Sessions from renowned health care leaders including T.R. Reid, Ian Morrison PhD, Dr. James Bennyan PhD, Dr. Alan Hedge PhD, Zachary Zapack, Bob Meyer, Larry Volkmar, Randy Keiser, D. Kirk Hamilton, Jane Rohde and Doug Erickson
  • Exceptional networking opportunities among peers at receptions and in the exhibition hall
  • Timely topics such as lessons learned from the effects of the tornado in Joplin, Mo., integrated project delivery, Hospital and care systems of the future, health facility commissioning, proposed updates to the FGI Guidelines, current regulatory issues, and new developments in clinical redesign. In addition, education tracks include health facility commissioning and the ACHA Masters Series.
  • Preconference programming, including ACHA hospital tours, the ASHE infection control seminar, and certification exam prep workshops.
  • Applications for learning units from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and continuing education units from the American Hospital Association (AHA) and the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID) have been submitted. Each attendee can attend 13.75 hours of learning at the PDC. Also, the submission includes an additional 4 hours of AIA/CES for attending an ACHA facility tour, as well as 7 hours of credits for attending one of the all-day preconference programs on Sunday, March 4.
