The Emerson Network Power technical program committee is seeking guest speakers for The Communications Conference
2009. This is an opportunity for you to present during the general session or breakout sessions, or you may simply recommend a topic or speaker.
The Communications Conference is an ideal setting for educating industry leaders about the latest and most exciting
network infrastructure solutions and innovations.
For our customers, this two-day event provides a valuable educational forum with intermediate and advanced session topics. Our speakers and presenters consist of our own engineering and R&D staff, as well as industry experts. Approximately
300 new and seasoned network engineers, buyers, managers and executives attend each year. The conference provides insight and information for operations and engineering
professionals working in voice, video and data network environments.
This year’s conference technical tracks are:
Improving Energy Efficiency
Exploring Alternative Energy
Minimizing Total Cost of Ownership
Optimizing Network Reliability
Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of objectivity, topical
importance and relevance to our attendees, strength of business case or case
study, and speaker knowledge and expertise.
Submission due date
Submissions are due by Friday, October 3, 2008 at 5:00 pm EST. Submissions received
after this date will be considered based on session availability.
Speaking format
Sessions are 45 minutes (which includes time for Q&A).
The format can be lecture, panel discussion, case/field study, lessons learned or point/counter-point. Session level should be intermediate or advanced. Presentations
should not contain any company
or product-specific promotion.
Speaker benefits
Speakers will be able to attend the entire conference at no charge and will receive up to two one standard-room nights free of charge at the conference hotel. There will be no monetary compensation.
